The Environmental Zone in Copenhagen

The environmental zone (Miljozone) in Copenhagen is the first environmental zone that has been introduced in Denmark. Introduced on 1st September 2008, it first concerned Lorries (vehicles category N2 and N3) and busses (M2 and M3) from the standard EURO 3 registered in Denmark.
The environmental zone covers essentially the centre of the city of Copenhagen and of the municipality of Frederiksberg. In order to facilitate the traffic of vehicles for ferry boats from and to Copenhagen, a special transit road crosses the environmental zone from Nordhavnen on which the EcoSticker is not mandatory.
To get more information about the environmental zone of Copenhagen/Frederiksberg, please visit the official website of the city of Copenhagen. You can also see a map of the zone here.
