The Environmental Zone of Odense

The environmental zone of Odense has been the last zone of this kind to be introduced in Denmark. The zone, situated in the region of Syddanmark on the Fünen Island has been introduced on 1st September 2010 in the third largest city of the country. The environmental zone concerned first Lorries (vehicles category N2 and N3) and busses (M2 and M3) from the standard EURO 3 registered in Denmark.

The environmental zone covers the center of the city inside the Ringstreet 2 of Odense.

It is important to notice that the EcoSticker is also mandatory on the moveable bridge Odins Bro, crossing over the canal. You can see here a map of the environmental zone in Odense.

Since 1st November 2011, the environmental zone of Odense is also valid for Lorries and busses not registered in Denmark, which must respond to the requirements of the standard EURO 4 to be able to drive within the environmental zone.
